How do I dash in Dodgeball Zero?

Q dashes on PC. Default controller Dash is RB / R1. Classic Dash is X / □. Use it to leave the throw line after a release, or to get off a ball’s path.

Dash is not a throw

Q does not charge the ball. Throw remains M1 / RT. After a release, dash first, then start the next hold. Chat focus eats Q — click the court (controls).

How do I slide in Dodgeball Zero?

C slides on PC. Default controller Slide is LB / L1 while running. Classic Slide is B / ○. On default pad, a standstill LB press is not the listed slide.

Slide versus dash

The listing names both. It does not say which is faster, safer, or longer. Pick one to leave a line, then drill the other so Classic players are not stuck. Do not treat slide as a guaranteed under-ball from another title.

Why did my Dodgeball Zero dash bind change?

Settings > Controller > Button Layout. Classic moves Dash to X / □ and Slide to B / ○. Throw and curve stay on triggers.

If bumpers do nothingCheck
RB does not dashClassic layout — use X / □
LB does not slideClassic — use B / ○; default also needs a run
RT does not throwNot a layout issue — hold to charge
X opens menus instead of dashYou may still be on default Interact

Interact collision

Default Interact is X / □. Classic puts Dash on that face button. If you switched layouts mid-session, re-read the controls Classic table before you blame cooldown.

Does Dodgeball Zero dash have i-frames?

Unknown. Distance, cooldown, and invulnerability frames are TBA. This page will not invent iframe counts, slide hitboxes, or “super armor” from other dodgeball or basketball experiences.

Play like you are not invulnerable

Leave the line because the ball can still hit you. If a recap claims iframe numbers, mark Unverified until this Place publishes them.

When should I use shift lock?

Left Alt toggles shift lock on PC. Controller: D-pad left. Use it when you want camera locked while you dash; turn it off if the lock fights how you aim curves.

Sprint

Pad sprint is full stick or LS / L3. Default slide wants a run. PC walk/run follows Roblox movement — the listing does not name a separate PC sprint key.

Jump is not a dash

Jump is Space / A / ✕. Air throwing uses Space plus hold M1 for slow fall — that is a throw page, not a movement iframe. See throwing.

When is movement good enough for ranked?

When you stop standing still after a throw. Casual 4v4 first. Ranked 1v1 next. Rank names remain TBA on ranked.

  • Do01After every throw, dash or slide once
  • Do02Confirm layout: bumpers vs Classic face buttons
  • Do03Do not count on unpublished i-frames
  • Do04Keep charging with M1 / RT — movement does not replace throw
  • Do05Queue ranked 1v1 only after those four are automatic

Ability last

G does not replace dash. Learn order: tier list.

When do I dash versus slide in Dodgeball Zero?

The listing names both and does not crown a winner. Drill both so Classic layout does not strand you. Do not assign iframe grades.

Layout check before the blame

If RB does nothing, you are probably on Classic — Dash is X/□. If LB does nothing, either Classic (use B/○) or you are not running on default. Re-read controls before you invent a patch nerf. Cooldown stays TBA either way.

Throw still comes first

Movement does not score. After you leave the line, start the next M1 / RT hold. Pair this page with throwing.

What next

Next: queue notes on Dodgeball Zero ranked once you can leave the line.

Throw refresh: throwing.
